As long as you are signed in to the Google account that's linked to your Samsung Galaxy S II, you can install apps on the phone from either the phone or your computer. Using the Google Play store from your computer to install an app on your phone is no different from using the store to install an app directly from your phone.

1.Navigate to the Google Play Store (link in Resources). Click 'Sign In,' and sign in to the Google account that's associated with your Samsung Galaxy S II.
2.Locate the app you want to install on your phone by clicking in the Search box and typing a relevant search term. For example, to locate the Adobe Reader app, type 'adobe reader' in the Search box and press 'Enter.'
3.Click 'See More' if you don't see the app you're searching for among the first few search results. Click the icon with the app you want to install when you locate it.
4.Choose 'Buy' if the app is a paid app, or choose 'Install' if it's a free app.
5.Review the permissions the app needs, and ensure the Samsung Galaxy S II appears as the device to which you're going to install the app.
6.Choose 'Install' to install a free app. Choose 'Continue' if it's a paid app, sign in to your Google Wallet account, select a payment method and choose 'Accept and Buy.' Select 'OK' after installing either the free or paid app.
7.Open the main screen on your Samsung Galaxy S II, tap the 'Apps' button and use your finger to scroll the list of apps until you find the app you installed. Tap the icon to run it.
Tip
- If your Samsung Galaxy S II is grayed out on the screen, it is not compatible with the app you selected, and you cannot install it to your phone.

The Play Store app does two important jobs: It’s not only where you obtain new apps for your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but also the place you return to for performing app management. This task includes reviewing apps you’ve downloaded, updating apps, organizing apps, and removing apps that you no longer want or that you severely hate.

- Start the Play Store app.

Your apps are presented in two categories: Installed and All. Installed apps are found on your phone; apps in the All category include apps you have downloaded that may not currently be installed.
Touch an app to see its details. Touch the Open button to run the app; the Update button to update to the latest version; or the Uninstall button to remove the app.
- While viewing an app’s details, you can activate automatic updating: Press the Menu button and choose the Auto-Update item. When a check mark is by that item, the Auto-Update feature has been activated. Not every app features automatic updating.
- Uninstalled apps remain on the All list because you did, at one time, download the app. To reinstall them (and without paying a second time for paid apps), choose the app from the All list and touch the Install button.

When you love an app so much that you just can’t contain your glee, feel free to share it with your friends. You can easily share a link to the app in the Play Store by obeying these steps:
- In the Play Store, choose the app to share.You can choose any app, though you need to be at the app’s Details screen with the Free or price button or the Details screen on an app you’ve installed.
- Touch the Share icon.A menu appears, listing various apps and methods for sharing the app’s Play Store link with your pals.
- Choose a sharing method.For example, choose Gmail to send a link to the app in an e-mail message.
- Use the chosen app to send the link.What happens next depends on which sharing method you’ve chosen.
The end result of these steps is that your friend receives a link. That person can touch the link on their mobile Android device and be whisked instantly to the Google Play Store, where the app can be viewed and installed.
How to update an app on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Whenever a new version of an app is available, you see it flagged for updating. Don’t worry if it’s been a while since you’ve been to the my Apps screen; apps in need of an update also display the App Update notification.
To update an individual app, view its information screen: Choose the app from the my Apps screen. Touch the Update button, and then touch Accept to download the new version. Or, from the list of installed apps, touch the Update All button to update a slew of apps at one time. This step still involves touching the Accept button for each app.
The updating process often involves downloading and installing a new version of the app. That’s perfectly fine; your settings and options aren’t changed by the update process.
Look for the App Update notification to remind yourself that apps are in need of an update. You can choose this notification to be taken instantly to the app’s details screen, where the Update button eagerly awaits your touch.
How to remove an app from your Samsung Galaxy Note 3
There are a few reasons to remove an app. You may experience eager relish that to remove apps that don’t work or somehow annoy you. It’s also perfectly okay to remove redundant apps, such as when you have multiple eBook readers that you don’t use. White sewing machine date by serial number. - Open the Play Store app.

- You can always reinstall paid apps that you’ve uninstalled. You aren’t charged twice for doing so.
- You can’t remove apps that are preinstalled on the Galaxy Note by either the phone’s manufacturer or your cellular service provider. I’m sure there’s probably a technical way to uninstall the apps, but seriously: Just don’t use the apps if you want to remove them and discover that you can’t.
